Sheldon South Carolina
Painting
"Sheldon Tranquility"
At the age of three, Ramona Prince started
painting, and her love affair with art began. In
the late 1970's, she moved to Savannah,
Georgia from her native state of Ohio. Her
early years were spent as a wife and mother.
She studied at Ohio State University,
Savannah College of Art and Design, and
is a graduate of Armstrong State University.
During her life in Savannah, she has worked as
an interior designer and more recently a nurse
at a local hospital. Only now can she devote
her time to art.
When Ramona arrived in Savannah, she was
captivated by the haunting beauty of the
marsh, tidal creeks and rivers of the area.
She loved the history and romance of this
enchanting location. With her sensitive and
unerring eye, she is able to capture this
beauty and portray it in her art. Her work
demonstrates a rare gift of balance,
simplicity and good composition. Her colors
are soft and serene as is her subject matter.
Love for this beautiful area, we call the
lowcountry, comes through in each and
every work.
Her pencil drawings, like her paintings and
watercolors, reveal her mastery of detail.
Take time to explore the artistic world of
Ramona Prince.
